Beauty was always part of my story.
I started doing hair when I was around 11 or 12 years old.
At the time, I couldn't have known that something I began so young would eventually become the foundation for a career, a business and a much bigger vision.
After becoming a licensed cosmetologist in 2005, I built my career behind the chair—learning my craft, building relationships and caring for women one appointment at a time.
But after more than 20 years in the beauty industry, I've learned something important:
Women rarely come to the salon just for their hair.
They come while building careers. Raising families. Starting businesses. Ending relationships. Celebrating milestones. Grieving losses. Reinventing themselves. Becoming different versions of who they are.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't simply witnessing beauty transformations.
I was witnessing life transitions.
That changed the way I saw beauty.
I began thinking differently about the experience I wanted to create.
I didn't want women to walk into a salon, receive a beautiful hairstyle and leave.
I wanted them to have a place where they could exhale.
A place where beauty could feel restorative.
A place where caring for yourself wasn't treated as an indulgence, but as part of taking care of the whole woman.
That vision became Tranzitions Wellness & Beauty.
Today, Tranzitions brings together professional beauty services, premium hair extensions and intentional wellness products designed to make self-care part of everyday life.

I've experienced enough of life to know that we don't always get to choose the season we're entering—but we can choose how we care for ourselves while we're moving through it.
That's what the name Tranzitions has grown to mean to me.
It isn't about becoming someone else.
It's about honoring the woman you are while making room for the woman you're becoming.
And the vision keeps growing.
What began with one stylist behind the chair is becoming something much larger.
Tranzitions is also about creating opportunities for the next generation of beauty professionals—giving emerging stylists access to mentorship, education, professional standards and a space where they can grow both their craft and their business.
Our work extends beyond our walls as well. Through community education, partnerships and service, we've been intentional about using beauty as a way to care for and connect with the people around us.
Because success means more to me than building a beautiful business.
It means building something that leaves people better than we found them.
